I have been teaching English and German at Matthes-Enderlein-Gymnasium Zwoenitz since 1994 and I still enjoy it;-)
I live in Zwoenitz, not far from our school. My family is very important to me: my husband Jason, our two daughters and Balou, our ginger cat. I enjoy travelling, reading thrillers, driving fast, cooking (and eating, of course). Ireland, Portugal and Egypt are my favourite holiday destinations. I like my family and friends, our house and garden, cats, my computer, Indian food, steaks and all desserts. The music I like is a strange mix: Queen, The Pogues, U2, The Clash, OMD and Depeche Mode are my favourite bands. I don`t like rain, red wine, sea food and stews, but I really hate unreliable or complicated people, jealousy, intolerance and spiders.
From our previous project I know that Comenius is fun and hard work, too. Keeping the blogs up-to-date and organizing all our practical activities as well as calculating our funds and costs is a challenge for my colleague Grit and me. I am looking forward to meeting lots of interesting people in our VAGAB project. Of course I look forward to travelling to some of our partner countries as well. Being a very curious person, I hope to learn a lot about lifestyle and the work of teachers in other European countries. See you!

Grit Kretzschmar

I`ve been teaching at Matthes-Enderlein-Gymnasium since 1992. My subjects are German and English, I`ve studied at Humboldt-University in Berlin. I like my job because I enjoy working with children and young people.
My family - my husband, 3 sons and I - have always lived in Zwönitz. Because of my big family and my work at school I don`t have much free time, but if find a free minute, I read books (not only for German lessons), cook new dishes, listen to different kinds of music, spend time with my family and friends, go to nice restaurants or watch films in the cinema.  I´m open-minded, honest, talkative and tolerant.
One of my mottos is : Every day you laugh with others is a good day. What I hate is : intolerance, arrogance, stupidity. I`m really interested in other countries, their people, culture and traditions. That`s why I think it`s great to be involved in this project. Travelling is also a hobby of mine. I hope to gain a lot of new experiences and I look forward to the two project years.
